Steelers re-sign DE Henry Mondeaux, place WR on IR
The Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed DE Henry Mondeaux just a few days removed from being released by the team. The Steelers recently acquired four-year CB Ahkello Witherspoon from the Seattle Seahawks and thus Mondeaux was the odd man out.
But roster manipulation has its perks, as the Steelers added Mondeaux to the team’s practice squad. They also announced the practice squad signings of WR Tyler Vaughns and OLB Delontae Scott.
Who is WR Tyler Vaughns and OLB Delontae Scott?
Vaughns is a 2021 UDFA who played college ball at USC where he had 222 receptions for 2,810 yards and 20 touchdowns in four seasons.
Scott is a 2020 UDFA who played at SMU where he appeared in 40 games and had 97 tackles (36 TFLs), 18 sacks, and five forced fumbles. Scott was waived as a Green Bay Packers final roster cut.
In other news, the Steelers placed WR Rico Bussey on the Practice Squad Injured List.
